The reason for the suspension of status is often an inability to pay tuition fees, but what is actually behind the suspension of status? Or more generally, what socio-economic needs are associated with higher education in Georgia? This study is an attempt to evaluate access to higher education in Georgia from the student's perspective and provide an overview of the problems that have arisen in distance education.
This research examines higher education students’ socio-economic barriers, living conditions, and social well-being. Since access to education is a complex variable, the study examines students' experiences in several areas, namely: the transition from general education to higher education, tuition fees and other daily expenses, housing policies, student employment policies and experiences, as well as barriers to learning.
