The Map of "Africa"

Thus, „Map of Africa“ concentrates on the Africa Settlement, at the Tbilisi outskirts. The settlement has its unique history, full of rich stories. However, even the locals are often unaware of such stories. The effects of Soviet and Post-Soviet era, as well as problems of modern Georgian can be seen in the lifestyle of the Settlment. These problems are further worsened due to the closed area. This is evident on the lives of the young, who no longer want to live in small and confined space. They want to break free, and despite their efforts, changing the status quo proves to be difficult.
