Trainings for “Competent Specialists, Quality Services”, Armenia
The trainings are done for psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, special pedagogues, and occupational therapists. The trainings were conducted for Ararat and Kotayk provinces in the previous month. For all provinces, the trainings were done in a face-to-face format as well as in an online format. The professionals from Child Development Foundation trained over 85 people in the Armavir and Vayots Dzor provinces, while in all 4 selected regions over 150 professionals participate. The trainers conducted trainings on various topics, ranging from Speech Therapy for Child with Autism to Legislative Mechanisms on Social Security of Servicemen and Their Families. Taking into account the changes and new needs brought about by the COVID-19 epidemic and the 44-day war, all participants underwent a crisis response and management training as well. The participants had the opportunity to discuss topics and cases of interest to them as well as gain valuable advice from the experienced professionals at the Child Development Foundation.
The joint project is designed to complement state initiatives and policies aimed at community development and professional development of local workforce. In the scope of our work, local CSOs, administrative bodies, health and educational institutions are engaged, with the support of which we aim to lay the groundwork of referral mechanisms, the execution of which is currently at a poor level.
